Game Republic Student Showcase 2010

University of Huddersfield, Canalside Studios, Queensgate, Huddersfield, HD1 3DH

Tuesday 25th May 2010, 5.30pm-10.00pm

The Game Republic Student Showcase is a yearly event that allows all the Yorkshire & Humber final-year and postgraduate games students to show their best work to the region's games companies, and try to win prizes in the categories of:

The Team17 Award for Game Design

The Sumo Digital Award for Game Technology

The Just Add Water Award for Game Art

The Rockstar Leeds Award for Best Team


Sign-in will be from 5.30-6.00pm.

The awards will be given out from 6pm-6.30, and will be followed by a special talk and Q&A by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe entitled:

"Great Idea, but How Will it Work? Internal Concepting for PlayStation"
presented by Jed Ashforth, Game Director and Hal Sandbach, Senior Designer, SCEE Liverpool

Afterwards from 7.30pm there'll be an opportunity for networking and refreshments will be available.
